This airstrip is located in a high mountain valley and has a very high density altitude when temperatures are warm. Its turf surface often is marked by cattle hoof prints and rodent holes.

There are no camping facilities. The airstrip is about a mile from the headwaters of the East Fork of the Big Lost River. There are numerous small, mountain lakes within hiking distance of the strip.

Classification: PRIMITIVE

Airstrips have basic navigational aids such as windsocks and runway markers and some limited user facilities. Typically located in remote settings but may be accessed by low-standard road.
Maintenance: Clear hazardous vegetation from approaches, remove obstacles, treat noxious weeds, and maintain airstrip surface.
