This is a difficult, often rough Forest Service airstrip in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. Water bars extend across the runway surface to mitigate water erosion.

For those willing to brave the several-hundred feet of trail dropping into Big Creek, the airstrip provides access to excellent fishing. Watch for rattlesnakes.

Airstrips may have basic navigation aids such as windsock and runway markers and limited or no user facilities. Typically located in the remotest settings away from roads and communities.
Maintenance: Clear hazardous vegetation from approaches, remove obstacles, treat noxious weeds and maintain useable airstrip surface.
