IAA District 3 - Director Wayne Thiel 890-8866.

Bernard provides access to good fishing in the Middle Fork and big game hunting in the fall. The runway surface can be rough and/or soft in spots. Pilots may be sharing air space with aircraft arriving or departing the Flying B airstrip 1/2 mile upstream.

Classification: WILD

Airstrips may have basic navigation aids such as windsock and runway markers and limited or no user facilities. Typically located in the remotest settings away from roads and communities.
Maintenance: Clear hazardous vegetation from approaches, remove obstacles, treat noxious weeds and maintain useable airstrip surface.
