Notes
IAA District 2 - Director Bill Ables (541) 263-1327
Once one of Idaho's most popular airstrips, Chamberlain lost that status after camping amenities were removed and several major fires ravaged the area.
The Forest Service still is trying to find a solution to the drainage problem at the intersection of the two runways.
Wilderness camping is available at several sites adjacent to the main runway.

Chamberlain Basin Management Plan
Classification: PRIMITIVE
Airstrips have basic navigational aids such as windsocks and runway markers and some limited user facilities. Typically located in remote settings but may be accessed by low-standard road.
Maintenance: Clear hazardous vegetation from approaches, remove obstacles, treat noxious weeds, and maintain airstrip surface.
This information has been compiled from a number of sources. The status of airstrip facilities, conditions, available services, ownership, and managers are constantly changing. The Idaho Aviation Association assumes no responsibility for incomplete or inaccurate information contained herein.
