Bernard provides access to good fishing in the Middle Fork and big game hunting in the fall. The runway surface can be rough and/or soft in spots. Pilots may be sharing air space with aircraft arriving or departing the Flying B airstrip 1/2 mile upstream.

Due to close proximity to Flying B airport, monitor - announce intentions on 122.9.  Go arounds not recommended due to steep rising terrain north of RWY.  Use caution for large game and pack animals.
