Trees and other greenery are gradually returning to this once lush remote airstrip on the edge of the Sawtooth Wilderness area and near the North Fork of the Boise River. The massive Rabbit Creek fire swept through this area in 1994, destroying nearly everything in its path except the Graham Guard Station, a two-room cabin next to the airstrip which can be rented from the Boise National Forest for $35 per night July through September. Reservations can be made by calling (208) 392-6681 or by going to www.reserveamerica.com. The fire consumed what remained of the historic Graham mining town on the west side of the river, including the mill, cabins and tram towers. Although there are no camping facilities at the airstrip, several good wilderness camping spots exist near the river. Trout fishing along this section of the North Fork usually is spotty.

Strip was dry and useable, the lower 200’ might have been a little damp. The upper end has some runoff erosion ruts, but was usable with care for a nose wheel.
