 Mahoney Airstrip is located on a bluff nearly 400 feet above the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. Its dirt surface is susceptible to damage from big game animals. There are no camping facilities. Maintained by the Salmon/Challis National Forest and IAA work parties.  Tie downs. Caution deep elk wallows located adjacent to the end of RWY 22.
