Moose Creek Airstrip
IAA District 2 - Director Bill Ables 541-263-1327 firstname.lastname@example.org Moose Creek is one of the Forest Service's best-maintained airstrips, located at the confluence of Moose Creek and the Selway River in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. In 2010, with the help of IAA volunteers, the Ranger District moved the recommended camping area from the west side of runway 01/19, where large, diseased trees pose a safety hazard, to the south end between the intersecting runways. The large wooden picnic tables were removed. Portable tables and firepans are available at the Ranger Station. Potable water also is available at the Ranger Station. Fishing usually is good in both Moose Creek and the Selway. No tie downs, no winter maintenance.
