Soldier Bar Airstrip
IAA District 3 - Director John Davis 208-867-4600 email@example.com. This is a difficult, often rough Forest Service airstrip in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. Water bars extend across the runway surface to mitigate water erosion. For those willing to brave the several-hundred feet of trail dropping into Big Creek, the airstrip provides access to excellent fishing. Watch for rattlesnakes.

Overflew airstrip on 3/16/2019 with helicopter. Whole flat was completely snow covered. Would guess a foot or so of heavy wet snow. Nice day in mid to high 40's and snow melting.
