This is a difficult, often rough Forest Service airstrip in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. Water bars extend across the runway surface to mitigate water erosion. For those willing to brave the several-hundred feet of trail dropping into Big Creek, the airstrip provides access to excellent fishing. Watch for rattlesnakes.

Surface is pretty standard for Soldier. Humps, rough, rocks. Grass isn't too bad, but into the lower parking area you might have trouble seeing the surface.
