Due to the unexpected heavy use of Indian Creek Airstrip in 2022 and 2023, the airstrip is in need of resurfacing and grading. We have scheduled a volunteer work party Saturday May 11 from 0930 thru 1500 hrs. Please bring your own PPE and overnight gear in case the weather turns ugly. The scope of the work will be brush removal, rock removal, surface smoothing, and repainting of boundary markers.
There is a Cautionary NOTAM for Indian Creek during the upcoming maintenance project. NOTAM #-S81 05/025 for Indian Cr. Airstrip maintenance is in place and will be effective 5/9/2024 @ 07:00 to 5/13/2024 @ 20:00.
There is potential for mules and equipment on the strip and berms, uneven ground, or loose rock on the landing surface during the days from 5/9-5/13. the mules will be working on the surface beginning at mid-morning each day to allow for AM traffic the plan is to have the surface clear at the end of each day.
