About a mile from the historic mining town of Atlanta, this state-operated airstrip is well maintained and gives experienced mountain pilots a clear advantage over those who must drive the notoriously washboardy and windy road from Boise. Food and lodging are available in town.

Land runway 34, take off runway 16. Landing or takeoff with unfavorable winds not recommended.  Go-around from final not possible due to hi terrain. Recommend use only by mountain proficient pilots. No winter maintenance. Depart with a right turn out down the Boise river. Camping - on your way to town you will pass USFS Riverside campground about half mile from the end of RWY 34.
