Big Creek was a popular destination for pilots seeking food and lodging until the lodge burned in 2008.  Big Creek lodge in Idaho back country has risen from the ashes and is now open to visitors as of Aug 2018.  To make reservations to stay at this beautiful lodge go to bigcreeklodgeidaho.com.  The well-kept, state airstrip continues to be used by those who have cabins in the area and by others who want to camp in the adjacent campground at the south end of the airstrip. Potable water, fire rings, tables and a vaulted toilet are available at the campground.
