Runway is beside the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, across from Mahoney Creek airstrip. The preferred landing direction is upstream, and takeoff downstream.  There is a 10’ berm beside the turnaround at the upstream end. If you choose to take off upstream, you’ll need to gain a little altitude and veer right to avoid the berm.  If you land downstream, you’ll have to take care to avoid clipping the berm. The landing will be slightly downhill.  There are picnic shade covers and an outdoor toilet.

Area: Historic Cougar Ranch cabin, built in 1905, mostly in original condition. Please leave the artifacts for others to enjoy.
