Recommend landing upstream and departing downstream. Runway 04 surface is soft sandy soil for the first 400 feet. The runway has large bumps that will reduce braking effectiveness on the rollout. Hill on south end of runway makes it difficult to touch down on the first quarter of Runway 04 and favors a steep and stabilized approach. Big game animals and stock in vicinity of the runway. Aerial survey for game is important to prevent runway collisions. Departure on runway 22 is over a large hill that rises significantly into the departure path. Angle left after take-off on Runway 22 to stay over the creek to avoid the hill. Very short and challenging airstrip due to high rising terrain and trees on both ends of the runway.
