This site is located along the Snake River on the Oregon side at the confluence where the Salmon River joins the Snake River. The short 762’ turf runway 14/32 has a hump near the middle that restricts the pilots view of the opposite end of the landing surface. Dispersed camping is allowed at this airstrip. This low elevation steep walled canyon-bottom airstrip can get very hot and turbulent in the summer. Early morning takeoffs and landings are recommended. Watch for sinking air over river. Watch for waterfowl and big game animals on the airstrip.
