This state-owned airstrip gets a lot of use by air taxi operators and pilots who enjoy flying into the scenic Sawtooth area for a meal. The Idaho Division of Aeronautics has completed paving the first 1600 feet of the north end and a run-up area.  Idaho Division of Aeronautics recommends using the mid-field tie-downs if you're camping.  This keeps you out of the way of the commercial operators, has some grass, and is quieter.
