This airstrip is located in a high mountain valley and has a very high density altitude when temperatures are warm. Its turf surface often is marked by cattle hoof prints and rodent holes. There are no camping facilities. The airstrip is about a mile from the headwaters of the East Fork of the Big Lost River. There are numerous small, mountain lakes within hiking distance of the strip.
