McCall Airport (MYL) Open House

McCall Open House,  Family-Friendly Event on Saturday June 22, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.! This event gets bigger and more fun every year. Expect a fun-filled day with over 20 vendors, engaging speakers, exciting displays, lessons from backcountry flying, and vintage and unique aircraft, including a P-51 Mustang “Diamondback.”

In honor of the 40th Anniversary of naming of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness, the theme this year is “Return to the Wilderness.” Your Flyline Editor, Crista Worthy, will present a fast-paced, entertaining slideshow with over 100 historic photos, explaining how aviation has been a crucial part of Idaho’s backcountry and why aviation was specifically written into the 1980 Central Idaho Wilderness Act that created both the River of No Return Wilderness and the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. Pick up a copy of her book, Idaho Aviation, an Idaho Aeronautical Chart, or an Idaho backcountry poster at the IAA booth!

You can also pick up a copy of the adorable poster for this year, designed by McCall’s City Communications Manager, Erin Greaves.
