I landed at Cold Meadows on August 3, 2023 at around 7 AM, in a stock C-182. The runway is good, suitable for 600-6 tires. Both windsocks are good. The runway has a significant slope. Land uphill to the north. Takeoff downhill to the south. The runway has several rainwater diverters in the north third. See photos. During your initial takeoff acceleration, the diverters act like little ramps that launch the plane into the air before rotate speed is achieved. It’s quite entertaining for the passengers as you make a few frog leaps down the runway before takeoff. An interesting note: the US postal system delivers and picks up mail once a week.
