Come celebrate WAAAM’s Birthday with style.

Our Fly-In attracts hundreds of people each year and is a great way to see old aircraft fly and meet the awesome people who fly them. Our special event admission of $25 gets you into the museum and all the fly-in fun.

Airport Information:

  • CHECK NOTAMs! There’s a number of TFRS that might be along your route to get to WAAAM this year.

  • Parking Frequency: 123.6

  • Hood River is a one runway airport. If either paved or grass runway is occupied you must remain clear.

Aircraft Parking:

  • WAAAM is on the North side of the airfield.
  • Aircraft parking is on the grass next to the museum.
  • (Transient parking on the apron is extremely limited.)
  • Please bring your own tie downs.
  • Ground handlers will direct you to parking.
  • Be prepared to shut down and push into parking.
  • Special parking for clubs can be arranged in advance only. Contact at [email protected] or call (541) 308-1600.

Fuel:

  • A fuel truck will make a regularly scheduled run periodically throughout the day. There will be no “on call” fuel signups.
  • Self-serve fuel is also available at the FBO if you miss the fuel truck rounds.

Ground Transportation

  • Taxi – Hood River Taxi: (541) 386-2255
  • Scheduled shuttle van to/from hotels is provided by WAAAM. The shuttle only goes to hotels.

Lodging and Accommodations:

  • Camp under your wings.
  • Showers are available.
  • Please bring your own tie downs.
  • Scheduled shuttle van between WAAAM and hotels is provided.
  • There are plenty of places to stay in Hood River and nearby, but lodging fills up quickly, so don’t delay in making reservations.

Registration:

  • Registration is inside the gate at the Southeast corner of the main museum building.
  • Aircraft registration COST $10 includes admission to the museum on all three days. Support the museum! This is our annual fundraiser.
  • Please bring your own tie downs.

Planned activities for those who fly in on Friday.

  • Good food, birthday cake, movie night, and more.
